Photo 2 - Project #4 - Morning Routine

 

    This work was inspired by my boyfriend and I's morning routine. Both of us have a lot of products and not a lot of time in the morning to get ready, so I wanted to capture the sheer amount of stuff we use. I also wanted to capture the difference in our products between his wavy hair and face acne care versus my straight hair and eczema. I feel like with how cramped we are in the dorm, our sink becomes a good representation of who we are and what we care about when it comes to our bodies and presentation of ourselves. Not only the skincare as I mentioned, but also the rubber gloves hanging up that we use for washing dishes because both of us have issues with different textures. The skull soap dispenser my partner bought because he likes goth and halloween everything. the shared toothbrush mug with our toothpaste in it. I also wanted to keep my figure and camera in the shot because I'm always looking at myself in the mirror, so I kept myself looking the mirror. I was also hoping it would give kind of the effect of if you were actually there standing at the sink.
